The Edgewater Village Park Stream Restoration Project includes stream restoration and stabilization, infrastructure protection, and riparian and floodplain buffer enhancements along unnamed tributaries of Otter Point Creek. The stream restoration aims to restore natural stream stability and to create aquatic habitat. Stream restoration and reconnection of the floodplain will reduce potential for storm flow impacts and protect the exposed sewer encasement. Improvements to the surrounding floodplain riparian buffer and stream will help improve habitat and water quality, reduce bank erosion, and create a self-sustaining and resilient channel that can withstand expected storm flows.
