- Maryland General Assembly
- The Maryland General Assembly meets in Annapolis each year for 90 days to act on more than 2300 bills including the State's annual budget. The 430th Session began on January 11, 2012 and adjourned on April 11, 2012. The General Assembly has 47 Senators and 141 Delegates elected from 47 districts.

- The Department of Legislative services provides legal, fiscal, committee, research, reference, auditing, administrative, and technological support to the members of the legislature and its committees. The department's mission is to facilitate the legislative process by providing staff support to the members of the Maryland General Assembly.
