Development Advisory Committee

Purpose

The Harford County Development Advisory Committee (DAC) advises the director of planning regarding major subdivisions and other large-scale developments. The committee is composed of representatives of county, state, federal and utility agencies. Each county agency represented on the DAC provides oral or written comment expressing the agency's recommendation or opinion regarding each development plan reviewed by the committee. The DAC meeting is also a forum to address issues and comments by the general public.

Meetings

DAC meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of the month.

Meetings begin at 9 a.m. If county offices open late, the meeting will start when offices open; if county offices are closed, the meeting will be postponed and rescheduled for a later date.

Anyone interested in an item on the agenda or would like any other information regarding the Committee or DAC process should call the Department of Planning and Zoning, Development Review Section at 410-638-3103
between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Interested citizens can visit the Department of Planning and Zoning to discuss plans with staff. No appointment is necessary but may be beneficial.
