Harford County African American Heritage Grants

For Fiscal Year 2023, Harford County is offering a grant for projects that may contribute to the public understanding and interpretation of African American history in Harford County. 

 Eligible Applicants: 

  • Individuals
  • Non-profit organizations
  • Other businesses
  • Local governments

 Eligible Projects: 

  •  Rehabilitation, restoration, or acquisition of a resource eligible for or listed as a Harford County   Landmark
  • Preservation planning services
  • Architectural and archeological survey
  • Research
  • Interpretation and programming

The application period runs from July 1 to July 29, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. 

Submission of applications through the Harford County Grants Portal is strongly preferred, however, hard copy applications are available upon request. Potential applicants should review the Information Packet prior to submitting applications. 

*June 28, 2022- Please note that a minor change has been made to the eligible/ineligible costs section of the Information Packet. Administrative costs incurred by contractors are considered eligible costs.
