Members

Members of the Human Relations Commission are appointed by the county executive for terms that coincide with his and appointments are confirmed by the council. Members of the commission are selected to represent all segments of the county population.

Purpose

The Harford County Human Relations Commission brings equality, equity and harmony to its citizens by understanding and addressing equity and equality issues and concerns of Harford County citizens, and increasing awareness of opportunities to work within the framework of County government.

The commission is made up of 14 volunteer citizens of voting age and one youth member, age 16-18 years old appointed by the County Executive and represent all segments of the County's population. The county executive or the council may refer to the commission for review and recommendation, any matters related to the commission’s functions and duties.
