Assisting nonprofit
organizations and local development agencies construct or acquire and modify existing
housing to provide shelter and service to individuals with special housing needs.

CDBG
- Home Rehabilitation Loan Program |
|
| Purpose: |
Designated to help
financially qualified homeowners make necessary repairs to their homes. The loans
are made available to homeowners who qualify through an application process that collects
documentation to establish family size, ownership, income, and credit standing.
Allowable repairs include, but are not limited to roofs, windows, doors, siding,
electrical and plumbing upgrades, and heating/air conditioning units. The money is made available as a deferred, zero percent loan and
is dispensed by the Harford County Housing Agency. The minimum loan is one thousand
dollars, and the maximum amount is 25,000 dollars.
