  1. 20th Annual Wade-In Festival

    Join us as we pull up our pant legs and wade into Otter Point Creek to measure water quality the way retired Maryland State Senator Bernie Fowler did 29 years ago with his “sneaker index.” No reservations needed. Activities include free pontoon boat rides and canoeing, fish seining, live animals, face painting, DPW’s Seymour Clearwater, fun with water chemistry, fish printing, decoy carving demos, and more! (No rain date.) Everyone is invited! No admission charge. Great fun for all ages!

    Explore the watery world of Leight Park and beyond. Dare to adventure by canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding and tubing off-site. Delve into the depths of Leight Park with fishing, stream-walking, hiking, and seining. This summer camp is for ages 13 to 17.

  5. Juvenile Fish Survey Training Workshop

    June 28, 2017, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Anita C. Leight Estuary Center

    Be part of a Bush River monitoring effort. Join CBNERR, DNR and OPCA to collect fish population data that will be used to help determine the status of tidal freshwater fish in our area. No experience is required. All training and equipment will be provided. (Dinner provided) Sampling dates are July 7 & 22, August 5 & 25, and September 8 & 23. This program is for ages 16 to adult.
