Eden Mill Nature Center is proud to offer a new program entitled "Nature Storytime" All are welcome who enjoy children's literature. Join us for a children's story and craft related to a theme about nature. Families are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the program. There is no fee. Pre-registration IS required.

Eden Mill Nature Center presents Kids in Kayaks for ages 10 through 13. American Canoe Association instruction! Participants will love this safe boating and basic skills course in kayaking! PFD's, boats and paddles included, along with patient guided instruction in stokes and maneuvers for younger paddlers. Class size is limited to 6 participants so register early! The fee for the course is $70. Courses will be offered May 17, May 24, June 13, June 21, or August 22 from 10:00am-2:00pm. Organized groups by request! Pre-registration is REQUIRED.

Don’t forget your blankets and chairs! Popcorn, snacks and beverages will be available for a small charge.

For ages 14+. Fee: $140/member, $150/non. Two days of skills refinement, advanced self and group rescue, kayak maneuvers, trip planning, safety, wind and wave practice, new strokes and new vistas. You MUST have your own kayak with aft and for bulkheads or floatation bags installed - no loaner boats available. You must have complete an Intro to Kayak course as a pre-requisite. Bring a lunch and plan to get wet. Pre-registration IS required.

What’s that in the water? It’s S.A.V. (Submerged Aquatic Vegetation). We’ll take a quick tour of the S.A.V. tanks and the greenhouse, then venture out on the estuary to see what S.A.V.s we can find. this program is for ages 8 - Adult and the fee is $10.00.

Eden Mill Nature Center is offering several dates to come and join Mark Johnson and Les Eastman as they band birds. Banding will take place at the Joe Vangrin Memorial Pavilion with intermittent walks to check the nets. The bird banding dates are tentative and weather permitting. Free, and no registration required.
